Our analysis

The dedicated Cricket screen is the ED520's main selling point: per-sector scores stay visible without navigating menus, which genuinely improves the multi-player evening experience. The jump to 30 games also broadens options beyond the classics. The mains adapter (bundled or optional depending on pack) removes the battery drain issue that plagued the lower models in long sessions. Segments remain consumer-grade plastic, nothing close to a sisal in resilience, and the lack of connectivity rules out any structured progress tracking. At this price, it's a solid leisure board for regular players, but not a tool for structured improvement.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Two LCD screens including one dedicated to Cricket scoring
  • 30 games: widest catalogue in the range
  • Battery + mains power (no constraint for long sessions)
  • Built-in dart storage doors

Cons

  • Plastic segments: lower durability than sisal
  • No connectivity or personal stats tracking
  • Significant price jump over the ED310 for occasional use
