My review of the Bull's Focus 2 Plus

Bull's is a German brand firmly established in Central Europe, though it remains less known to the general public than British heavyweights like Winmau, Unicorn or Target. The Focus 2 Plus pleasantly surprised me: it's a serious dartboard, built for club or competition use, with a finish quality that has nothing to envy from its British competitors.

It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but rather to do the basics right: quality African sisal, a fine spider, tight double and triple segments. If you want to step outside the usual brands without sacrificing technical seriousness, this is worth considering.

My on-the-oche test of the Bull's Focus 2 Plus

The fine, staple-free extra-thin spider is the most immediately noticeable strength when throwing: less metal wire on the surface means fewer parasitic bounce-outs around the segment junctions. The 8mm double and triple segments offer decent margin for aiming at high-value zones, without being excessively wide either.

The bounce-out resistance score of 8/10 confirms this impression in practice: the board absorbs impacts well, even under heavy use, though it doesn't quite reach the level of the very best premium references on the market.

Durability of the Bull's Focus 2 Plus

With a durability score of 8/10, the sisal used holds up well under regular use, typical of a club or frequent competitive setting. It's not the most durable board we've tested, but it sits comfortably in a reliable range for serious use over several months, if not years, depending on how often it's played.

Yes, if you're looking for a reliable board for club or competition use and you're open to stepping outside the dominant British brands. The Focus 2 Plus combines a polished finish (its real strength at 9/10), robust construction and compliance with standard tournament dimensions, all at a reasonable price range.

It's aimed mainly at regular or club players who want a safe bet without necessarily following the most hyped brands. For an occasional beginner, this level of quality is still relevant but perhaps a bit beyond strict necessity.
