Canaveral TD 500 Classic
The TD 500 Classic is an entry-level steel-tip dartboard in the official size (457 mm). Be aware: it is NOT made of sisal but of compressed rice-straw fibre, a material that does not close back up after impact. It is a low-cost starter board, not one built to last or for regular play.

Our analysis
Let's be clear: the TD 500 Classic is a low-end starter board, and we do not recommend it the moment you want to play for real. The core problem is the material: it is not sisal but compressed rice-straw fibre. Unlike sisal, this fibre is NOT self-healing: every dart leaves a hole that does not close back up, the board hollows out and breaks down fast, and after a few weeks of regular use it is marked all over. Point retention is poor: the soft fibre holds darts badly, so they fall out and bounce more often than on a real sisal board. The official size and staple-free bullseye are not enough to make up for these fundamental flaws. Who is it for? Only a beginner wanting to try darts on a tiny budget, or very occasional use (garage, party night). As soon as you play several times a week or want to improve, go straight for a real sisal board (such as a Winmau Blade or equivalent): the gap in durability and feel is huge, and the extra cost pays off quickly.
