My opinion on the Diamond Plus

The Winmau Diamond Plus starts from a simple idea: offer a reliable sisal board that stays within tournament-approved specs. At the standard 45cm diameter, compliant with regulation specifications, it offers a playing surface of the expected dimensions, paired with a thin high-resistance wiring system designed to improve durability and reduce bounce-outs.

It's an honest board, with no overblown claims: it doesn't reinvent anything, but it ticks the expected boxes for a mid-range sisal model. The 7/10 scores across the board reflect this positioning well: solid and reliable, without being exceptional.

My test of the Diamond Plus on the oche

On the oche, the benefit is felt mostly on how darts behave when they hit near the wires. The thin high-resistance wiring does its job correctly: instead of bouncing back sharply toward the player or falling to the floor, darts grip better and bounce-outs are reduced.
