Our analysis
The Samurai 3 is the entry point into the range's new generation. On paper it modernises the formula: ultra-thin staple-free knife wire, redesigned black number ring, symmetrical branding for clean rotations. The African sisal and thin wiring deliver good bounce behaviour and decent retention, in line with the Samurai II, at a very similar price (~55 EUR). Two caveats, honestly sourced: first it is not WDF-approved (unlike the Samurai II), so less suited to official competition; second, user feedback on specialist forums raises questions about its long-term durability. For an intermediate player wanting a recent board with a modern look who does not play certified competition, it is a coherent choice. For competition, the Samurai II stays safer; for maximum durability, the Samurai 4.
