Our analysis
The Samurai Infinity is the older-generation board you pick for looks and finish. Its Infinity number ring, black ring and Vivid Deeper Printing make it the most visually distinctive model of the older series. The uniformly compacted sisal is presented by Mission as softer and more receptive than the Samurai II, which translates into good playing comfort and clean retention, with the ultra-thin staple-free knife wire. The downside: it is more expensive than the Samurai II without its WDF certification. So it is a choice for aesthetics and comfort rather than certified competition. For anyone favouring a good-looking premium board for home use, it is very convincing; for official competition, the Samurai II; for the best sisal in the range, the Samurai 4.
